The anonymous street artist Zevs has teamed up with the W Hotels chain in an effort to pull off the latest artistic launch of the W Paris Opéra. Bringing together an assortment of European talent, the lavish hotel will feature Zevs crime scene-inspired Suite 112, a daring piece showcasing a rare combination of hospitality, art and all-out scandal.
The Zevs Suite 112 display cannot be viewed with the naked eye. Only when shone under a UV light can guests see the fluorescent orange ink, otherwise entirely invisible. This specific ink was formed in a New York City laboratory, and deliberately mimics the coloring found at criminal investigations. The morose scene is offset by Louis Vuitton wall prints, an ode to the inn's Paris location. Zevs has demonstrated that a bit of drama is always well-received, even in a dainty region like France.
