Vogue Paris Literally Flips PETA

Trend Hunter speculated that the obvious overuse of fur in Vogue Paris in an August 2008 editorial featuring Daria Werbowy would anger PETA. However, it turns out that Vogue Paris does not want to be so sly or speculative about it, so they included images of a fur-laden Raquel Zimmermann flipping the bird to a PETA protester. FIERCE!!!

Styled by editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld, Raquel flips the PETA protester with a sign that says, 'Fur is Dead'. Another shot shows Raquel being harassed by another PETA protester with a sign that says, "We'd rather bare skin than bear skin."

PETA does not hold any love for Vogue and its use of fur. Back in 2005 PETA delivered a tofu pie right in the face of Vogue's Anna Wintour. You can see that iconic image in the gallery below.

I hope Raquel Zimmermann and Carine Roitfeld like their tofu pies... Stats for VERY Controversial Vogue Spreads Trending: Older & Buzzing
