The Ripstik and Wave brand skateboards will be the new trend on local skate parks this summer.

With two independent boards joined by a flexible tube (sealed inside a solid cylinder), these new age boards bridge the gap between snowboards and traditional skateboards.

Featured at the New York Toy Fair, the primary advantages of these new boards are their flexibility and the fact that users don’t need to step off the boards to accelerate.
