The Tate Modern led the way in unusual playground slides with an 80-foot steel slide by German artist Carsten Höller, shown in the video above. It reignited the love of slides I had as a child, and I have not managed to shake them off since. With the world economy in a downward slide, and Google Image Search at my finger tips, I found some other bizarre slides out there to terrify or delight your children.
