Portfolio Night Could be as Scary as the Terrifying Promo Vid

This terrifying promo vid is for a welcoming event called Portfolio Night, an annual event that unites aspiring advertisers with renowned advertising firms. Though it isn’t pleasant to watch, it definitely gets the message across: “Showing your work [to recruiters] doesn’t have to be scary.” The video’s plot is simple, but the graphics and sound effects are unlike any other event promo.

PN has taken place in many international cities in the past, but 2013 will be Tokyo’s first time hosting PN, made possible by Saatchi and Saatchi Fallon. To pump up the event, world famous J-horror director Kōji Shiraishi made this mini horror film.

Coincidentally, this year’s venue being Japan (the horror movie capital) suits the theme of mortified young creatives.
