Good Cell Phone Manners on the Rise

English cell phone users are hanging up the phone as they learn all that jibber-jabber is annoying to others. According to JD Power, for the first time, cell phone calling has dropped about 28.5% since last year.

The drop suggests that cell phones aren't the status symbol they once were. Interrupting social gatherings to chat on the phone is considered rude, not trendy.

Brits have adopted more discreet methods of reaching out and touching others. Text messaging and e mailing from mobiles and web enabled PDAs has risen steadily. Consumers like the ease, privacy, and affordability of texting.
