Knitta is a brilliant example of street guerrillaism. A counter cultural attack of happiness in the form of street knitting - something that everyone can execute (albeit they learn how to knit). This anchor knitted cosy was spotted in stockholm, sweden. The brick on top of the great wall of China and the lamp pole knit attack somewhere in Hollywood.
The guerrilla group behind these knit-bombing attacks calls themselves Knitta. They began their street activism back in 2005, after many discussions and much frustration over unfinished knitting projects. The answer was clear. Hit the streets.
Since then their guerrilla acts have been recorded all over the world and made the evening news in many countries. Watch the video above for more brilliantly fun and fabulous street knit examples.
