Steampunk style can be described as a fantastical scientific romance with a fictional Victorian industrial era. Oxford’s Museum of the History of Science is celebrating the eccentric genre with the world’s first Steampunk exhibition.
Along with some of the best steampunk works of art, enthusiasts can participate in steampunk-related events and a steampunk art and design competition. The exhibition will run until February 21st 2010, but if you can’t get to the Steampunk exhibition, you can see some of the amazing innovations in this video.
From redesigned practical items to fantastical contraptions, this exhibition, curated by Art Donovan, showcases the work of eighteen Steampunk artists from across the globe.
