The Splinter Works Dime Kitchen was inspired by the villainous Two-Face’s decision-making tool: the coin. British designers Matt Withington and Miles Hartwell have designed their kitchen workstation with the inspiration of the spinning coin in mind.

The spinning edge of coin was the basis for their wooden space pod design. At first I’ll admit that I didn’t see the spinning coin reference in their design because they had chosen to go with rosewood in its implementation, but it’s clearly there.

I wonder why is the Splinter Works Dime Kitchen isn’t titled the Penny Kitchen instead?

Dubbed the “Dime,” the multifunctional furniture features 10 blades finished in rosewood, which shuffle right back to unveil a stone surface to place your trendy appliances and accessories. (thedesignblog.org)
