Solar Adventure Watches

Garmin Brings Extended Battery Life To Its Latest Outdoor Watch

Garmin's Enduro 4 is built for longer outings, using a revised mapping engine that pans 30 percent faster so route checks feel less sticky on the move. In extended battery mode with constant 50,000-lux light, activity tracking can reach a claimed 320 hours. The watch uses a low-power memory-in-pixel display and solar lens.

Hill-adjusted pace targets and stamina readouts help wearers judge effort on climbs and through long sessions. Garmin Epic can also combine workouts from different sports into one journey, which better fits multi-day trips than a pile of disconnected records.

At $899.99, the Enduro 4 is aimed at buyers ready to pay for long battery claims and route work on multi-day outings. Its 51 mm case still comes in at 66 grams, easing some of the tradeoff that usually comes with a large trail watch. A titanium bezel and LED flashlight keep the focus outdoors.
