Short-Acting Cancer Biosimilars

Accord BioPharma Launches FILKRI for Cancer Supportive Care

Accord BioPharma is expanding access to short-acting cancer biosimilars with the U.S. commercial launch of FILKRI, a treatment that helps restore neutrophil levels in patients experiencing reduced white blood cell counts. As a biosimilar to Neupogen, FILKRI provides an additional option for managing infection risks associated with chemotherapy and certain other medical conditions.

Approved by the FDA in January 2026, FILKRI is available in two prefilled syringe strengths. The medication joins Accord's existing long-acting UDENYCA treatment, allowing physicians to select between different dosing approaches. Its permanent Medicare and Medicaid billing code became effective October 1, simplifying reimbursement procedures.

For healthcare providers, the expanded portfolio offers greater flexibility in supportive cancer care. Accord also provides benefits verification and co-pay assistance through AccordCares, supporting patient access while strengthening its presence in the competitive U.S. biosimilar market.
