Designer Sanu K R has designed a transportation vehicle that looks like it's out of a futuristic movie. After receiving his education from the Keltron Advanced Design Center in India, Sanu went on to design a variety of items, from household tools to single person flotation devices.
This particular design is a single-person pod that is slim, and has just enough room for someone to sit in. Instead of a steering wheel, this vehicle is controlled by a joystick, similar to the way someone plays a video game. To get in and out of the solo pod, one must open the circular doors, which resemble that of a submarines.
The single-person pod designed by Sanu K R would be perfect for crowded city transportation.
What Makes This Trend Stand Out
- Single-person Pods
- Transportation vehicles designed for single individuals that offer a futuristic alternative for crowded city transportation.
- Joystick Control
- Vehicle controls operated through joystick, which resembles video-gaming technology.
- Circular Doors
- Use of submarine-style circular doors for entry and exit.
Sectors Adopting This
- Automotive Industry
- Potential opportunity for auto manufacturers to invest in single-person pod designs for future urban transportation.
- Aerospace Industry
- Intricate designs similar to those of submarines open up opportunities for the integration of materials and technologies from the aerospace industry to design effective personal transportation.
- Consumer Electronics Industry
- Joystick controls resemble video gaming technology, and therefore could appeal to the consumer electronics industry to help design future transportation systems.
