Ergonomic Inclusive Urban Furniture

Burcu Nehir Tum Designs the RIVO Furniture Capsule

Burcu Nehir Tum designs the RIVO furniture series which is an ergonomic urban system made to support the elderly in social spaces. Differentiating itself from standard benches, the concept highlights the side elements which also function as supportive handles. This makes it much easier and safer to stand up and sit down.

The handles are there to provide stability and address the need for safety in public. RIVO continues with this same notion by also adding elements that double as hooks to hang personal items, including bags, canes, jackets, and more. By doing so, it also ensures that personal belongings stay within reach, adding more convenience to the design focused on convenience and safety above all else.
