For all those who love stainless steel and black devices, there are people who hanker for the organic feel of wood. Hence, we have wooden mobile phones.
The Russian craftsman who made this wooden cell phone first took apart a new cell phone. Using apple tree wood, he painstakingly carved not only the main holding case of the phone but also smaller cases for the other components. These include the battery, the sim card and even the antennae. He even stained the main body of the phone with a darker stain than the antennae.
Perhaps this wooden cell phone idea will appeal to steampunk enthuasists for it has the old world technology look about it.
