We’re increasingly seeing carbon fiber used in tech applications, especially as a mobile phone case. This latest mobile phone case from Carbon Fiber Gear for the iPhone 3G is the lightest one in the world, weighing just 8.5 grams and is only 0.045 inches thick. 

The carbon fiber fabric used in the iPhone 3G case comes from the same exact stuff that Ferrari and Airbus use in their applications.
