I am loving pumpkin boats, where larger than life pumpkins get a new lease on life. In the UK a beast was hollowed out and had an outboard motor attached to the hollowed out pumpkin before it was sailed down a river at a top speed of 4 mph. Apparently it handled fairly well, for a pumpkin.
The pumpkin boat isn't only a UK thing, though. A Wisconsin man carved one into a canoe, in which he plans to paddle 150 miles in eight days to raise money for children with special needs.
