Pick-Up Artist Candy Ads

The Hilarious Pretzel M & M's 'Hungry Eyes' Bloopers

— August 3, 2011 — Pop Culture
If you thought line flubs and outtakes were only for live-action actors, the outrageous M&M's 'Hungry Eyes' blooper reel will convince you otherwise. The commercial features the hit 80s song by Eric Carmen, made popular by the film 'Dirty Dancing,' and stars comedian Nathan Barnatt as a questionable bar patron. The blooper reel shows the Pretzel character messing up his lines repeatedly, and improvising hilarious quips and comments about the Barnatt character, who stares at the snack longingly. The outtake video takes the humanized candies to a whole new level, suggesting they are real actors rather than just voiced animations.

The M&M's Hungry Eyes ad is already hilarious, making clever use of the song's title and reputation, and the blooper video takes the humor to a whole new level. I hope this is only the beginning of an outrageously funny ad campaign that uses clever pop culture references.
