‘Plant for the Planet' Founder Felix Finkbeiner Plants One Million

In 2007, inspired by Kenyan Wangari Maathai, nine-year-old Felix Finkbeiner made an English language presentation to his classmates of his idea to plant one million trees in Germany. Finkbeinger ended his presentation with the words, "Let’s plant a million trees in every country of the world," and the Plant for the Planet movement was born.
