L’Oréal Fuses Technology & Beauty with Custom DOSE by SkinCeuticals
L’Oréal debuts the Custom DOSE lab under its SkinCeutical brand -- a personalized skincare service that allows the consumer to customize their own original serum formula, based on needs and complexion.
Firstly, one has a consultation with SkinCeutical experts or a dermatologist. In the processes, the consumer takes a survey, where he or she reveals concerns, skin needs and preferences. The designated consultant then provides advice on the personalized skincare recipe. For the second part of the experience, the consumer is directed to a machine with 24 ingredients. The Custom Dose lab pours the earlier established ingredients, but also specifically weighs the appropriate dosage of each. At the end of the personalized skincare service, the bottle is spun to mix the ingredients. Lastly, consumers are invited to print off a label with their name and the ingredients, as well as direction for their personalized skincare treatments.
