Designed by Frankligthart for the Dedon collection, this unique Obelisk Seating is made of natural elements woven together with Hularo, an extremely durable synthetic fibre, developed and produced by DEDON.

Obelisk seating can be called an art form, inspired by the menhirs in Carnac on the French Atlantic coast. It reminds me of Obelix, the famous character with super human strength, created by Goscinny & Uderzo for the comic book series “Asterix the Gaul”. Obelix carved and delivered menhirs for a living inside a little fortified Gaulish coastal village.

Dedon Obelisk Seating, may not be as heavy as the ancient stone Menhir, it is, however, a great deal more useful, and still retains a shape of immortal
