The Nike SB Green Lobster Dunks are Packed Like Lobsters in a Tote

Nike's Red Lobster Dunks debuted in 2008 and more than a decade later, Nike is launching the collectible Concepts x Nike SB Green Lobster Dunks in limited-edition packaging. The thermoformed packaging design references commercial fishing totes that are used on boats and once the box is opened, the sneakers are wrapped with rubber bands around the toes, referencing the way lobster claws are treated by lobstermen.

Consumers who bought the special sneakers on launch day received the thermoformed box topped with a sheet of co-branded acrylic to mimic the look of a frozen lake. Due to the opaque plastic container and the haziness created by the acrylic cover, the packaging itself creates a sense of curiosity around the experience of unboxing the collectible Nike sneakers.
