LG's Sound Suite H7 soundbar now decodes DTS:X, the object-based surround format found on many Blu-ray and 4K disc releases, and adds Google Cast for audio streaming from supported apps. The update gives H7 owners broader movie playback support and a direct way to send music or podcasts from phones, tablets, and computers.
Compatible setups can now use a pair of W7 subwoofers, with the second unit aimed at evening out bass across larger rooms rather than adding raw output. The speakers also gain 6 GHz Wi-Fi and 5 GHz DFS support. The rollout has reached some regions, with timing and features varying by model, country, router, and software version.
Dual-subwoofer support and wider router access make the H7 easier to fit into real rooms and existing home networks without replacing the bar. At $1,000, that software-led flexibility turns the system into a longer-term purchase for home theater enthusiasts.
