New photos have hit the Internet of gold medalist super-swimmer Michael Phelps smoking marijuana out of a bong at a party at the University Of South Carolina last November. These photos could potentially end Phelps’ hopes for the 2012 Olympics for an anti-doping violation.

This isn’t Michael Phelps’ first run-in with drugs. In 2004, the swimmer got 18 months probation for a DUI violation in Salisbury, Maryland while driving his Cadillac Escalade.

One party-goer who witnessed the star’s behaviour told the News of the World: “He was out of control from the moment he got there. Our source revealed: “Michael came to visit Jordan but ended up just getting wasted every night. (newsoftheworld)
