The 2009 Mercedes-Benz SLK Roadster is one sexy car, and likely to be a hit with women looking for something that oozes style and screams classy. “The 2009 SLK Roadsters promise hours of driving pleasure for the car enthusiast,” Mercedes says. I am not a car person, but this baby seriously turned me on and did indeed get my engine revving. I’m guessing that is what the guy driving it will also be hoping will happen to all females in the near vicinity of this delicious two door roadster. I have read all the technical stuff, and in the end could make neither heads or tails of it. But I think what they are saying is that this is a really, really HOT little car.  The new 2009 Mercedes-Benz SLK lineup of Roadsters gets a cosmetic makeover, with the front end tweaked to give it a more pronounced arrow shape, and a cleaner, diffuser-style look in the rear. Add to that the trapezoidal exhaust tailpipes and the AMG-inspired darkened tail lights, and the overall effect is a sportier look.The interiors have been enhanced with an instrument panel design, a three-spoke sports steering wheel with multifunction buttons, and optional "gullwing red" leather trim that is reminiscent of the original appointments of the 300 SL model. While the 5.5L V8engine of the SLK 55 AMG model carries over, both the SLK 200 Kompressor and SLK 350 have received considerable power boosts.
The four-cylinder supercharged engine in the SLK 200 now produces 184 hp with 250 Nm of torque while the new 3.5 liter V6 engine in the SLK 350 outputs 305 hp with 360 Nm of torque at 4,900 rpm. Mercedes-Benz has promised that the engines will improve on fuel economy and emit less CO2, and will hence be more eco-friendly.Combined with an option for a 7G-TRONIC seven-speed automatic transmission (previously only limited to the AMG 55 model), and an all-new direct steering system, the 2009 SLK Roadsters promise hours of driving pleasure for the car enthusiast.
