The Pixar teaser trailer for Up is “Spreading across the interweb like Wildfire!” according to ViralVideoChart.com. It’s a wonder why. The trailer from Disney and Pixar doesn’t reveal anything at all, but that’s exactly where its appeal lies. Single balloons in beautiful colours are seen floating up into a brilliant blue sky before an enormous bouquet of 3D ballooons appears. A few seconds later, we’re made aware this giant bouquet has lifted a house into the air. On the front porch is an old man who calmly says, “Afternoon,” and then the trailer is over. Now that’s what I call a teaser! “UP The Adventure Begins May 29, 2009” is the only text in the video, and it doesn’t appear until the very end. It was posted July 27 and is shooting up rapidly in popularity. It’s already been viewed 123,616 times, been featured in 66 blog posts and received 37 comments. From the Pixar Press Release: Carl Fredricksen spent his entire life dreaming of exploring the globe and experiencing life to its fullest. But at age 78, life seems to have passed him by, until a twist of fate (and a persistent 8-year old Wilderness Explorer named Russell) gives him a new lease on life.
