Matzoball Plays Straight Man to Adam Sandler

Adam Sandler was shanghaied into doing the David Letterman show when the talk show host became ill just before air time last Tuesday.
Sandler was more than a little nervous, because he has never interviewed anyone before. So, he eased the tension by interviewing his dog, Matzoball. Meatball, his other bulldog was indisposed and unavailable for comment. Matzo came off great as the straight man, never said a word, and got reactions that would have made Oliver Hardy turn green with envy.
Letterman is expected to recover from the “botox injections” and return to the show this week.
"I've never interviewed anybody in my life, and I'm kinda tense about that and I don't want to screw it up, so I figured I'd have a little practice," the 40-year-old actor-comedian said on Tuesday night's show.
Matzo was "kinda like the Ed McMahon of the show," Sandler said.
