If the Lia Griffith Papier Couture collection was available when the Paper Bag Princess was in search of her prince, fairytale lives would have been far more fashionable.
Griffith, a graphic designer at Xerox, had the idea to combine her knowledge of paper products and her love of fashion to produce the recycled dresses that wow on the runway. It all began when she was asked as an assignment to prove her print sample abilities that quickly became an instant office hit and sparked the idea that one woman's trash could be another girl's couture.
The paper pro continues to update her designs by working in eco silk to jazz up evening dresses and releasing reinvented enviro-luxe looks as the style seasons change.
