The Kate Upton Vogue Shoot Graces the June Cover

America’s favorite pin-up girl Kate Upton has moved on from Sports Illustrated and into the world of high fashion. In the new Kate Upton Vogue cover and subsequent editorial spread, Upton demonstrates her playful side with photos showing her on horseback and frolicking on the beach.

The entire spread is very Marilyn Monroe-inspired, from Upton’s short coiffed hairstyle to her 50s pin-up girl outfits—and this is very fitting. With her voluptuous curves and sunny pesonality, Upton has often been compared to a modern-day Monroe.

By winning the cover of the June copy of Vogue, Upton has demonstrated that she is more than a swimsuit model. She has achieved her current level of fame not by luck, but through the use of hard work and social media to get her name into the fashion industry.

“It’s official,” Lizzie Widdicomb of Vogue declares, “being Kate Upton is hard work.”
