Remember John Travolta’s hairstyle in Grease? The slicked back sides, with the overflowing puff in front that Danny Zucko, Kenickie and the rest of the T-Birds wore? Well, that look is back, but this time, it’s for the ladies.
In their Spring/Summer 2009 ad campaign, MaxMara had the locks of their ladies twisted into these masculine bouffants, a feminine twist on the look John Travolta made so famous in the 1978 musical flick.
The MaxMara SS09 print ads were shot by British fashion photographer Craig McDean, and featured models Lakshmi Menon and Eniko Mihalik.
