These unusual Victorian-inspired surreal paintings which feature morphed part human, part animal subjects are the work of New York-based artist Colette Calascione.

Her work is an intriguing mashup of traditional portraiture and sexy pin-up women.

Her online gallery features a lot of female nudes who are also either morphed with or engaging with animals in a variety of bizarre settings.
