‘How to Survive the Apocalypse’ is a rock opera interpretation of the Burning Man festival that takes place on Labor Day weekend in Nevada each year. ‘How to Survive the Apocalypse’ is packed with a cast of Burning Man veterans, one of whom is Barbara Traub, the photographer of the images in the gallery. It’s running at Stage Werx Theater in San Francisco, which is near Union Square.
Through the magic of YouTube, you can experience the essence of the Burning Man festival sans the illicit drugs, mind-blowing heat and drive to Nevada. The festival is one of the most recognized modern counterculture art events in the U.S. and draws thousands of participants each year.
