Fortress Flagship Architecture

Hiroshi Nagamura & Nap Harajuku Plaza Merges Fort and Forest

Looking at the digital models of the Hiroshi Nagamura & Nap Harajuku Plaza, it's hard to guess what type of activities it houses. The stronghold-like structure is a work in progress, but come 2012 it will be the new home of this Japanese region's flagship stores for Gap, Tommy Hilfiger and American Eagle Outfitters.

The fortified shopping center will flaunt over-sized brick crenelations through which the sun can enter a rooftop patio. Hiroshi Nagamura & Nap Harajuku Plaza will stand sturdily on Omotesando and Jingumae without challengers, ready for overwhelming numbers of shoppers.
