Fibocom has introduced high-speed 5G smart modules designed to help manufacturers develop connected devices with faster data transmission and greater customization. Its new SC153 module combines Qualcomm's Dragonwing Q-4390 processor with advanced wireless connectivity, supporting demanding applications such as high-definition video transmission, industrial monitoring, and intelligent electronics.
The SC153 supports 5G standalone and non-standalone networks, delivering download speeds of up to 2.5 Gbps. It also accommodates Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6E, and Wi-Fi 7 configurations, alongside Android compatibility and multiple hardware interfaces. Currently undergoing debugging, the module is scheduled for mass production in the fourth quarter of 2026.
