The bourbon features a traditional mashbill of 70% corn, 20% rye, and 10% malted barley. This reflects the Neeley Family Distillery's Appalachian roots. The use of wild yeast, sweet mash, and cypress fermentation tanks enhances the whiskey's depth and complexity.

At 106.5 proof, Hidden Barn Bourbon's Slow Fade is described as having a well-rounded profile with notes of brown butter, black cherry, orange zest, dark cacao, and hazelnut. Its signature feature is the gradual sweetness on the finish that delivers a warm and satisfying conclusion.
