Hands-Free Streaming Devices

Apple Fits Siri AI into Apple TV 4K

Apple's fourth-generation Apple TV 4K adds Siri AI and built-in far-field microphones, so users can talk to the assistant from across the room instead of reaching for the remote first. The streaming box also moves to an A19 chip and comes with an updated Siri Remote that supports Find My with Precision Finding.

In the U.S., pre-orders are open now ahead of a November 13 release. The remote still keeps a side Siri button for users who prefer a press over a voice command, and Apple is selling one $299 version rather than multiple configurations.

The built-in far-field microphones turn Apple TV 4K into a more ambient living-room interface, widening its role from media player to TV-side voice access. At $299, that hands-free Siri setup gives Apple a clearer premium pitch centered on control and convenience, not just streaming.
