Gibson & Billy Gibbons Recreate '69 Les Paul Pearly Gates

In the history of rock and roll, there are certain items that mean something great. The 1959 Gibson Les Paul Pearly Gates is one of those iconic items, and now music lovers (with some money to spend) can own a piece of that history.

Gibson has teamed with Barry Gibbons (of ZZ Top fame), to release 350 Pearly Gates guitars. There are three different recreations--one set of 50 will be aged to look like the 1959 beauty, one set of 50 will be signed and played by Gibbons and aged accordingly, and the third set will be a more basic version of the original.

Selling from $11,000 to $26,000, you’ve really got to love to rock.
