When a natural cosmetic company and a food services company get together, the result looks a lot like the offspring of the cosmetics leader Fancl and food services leader, Itoyakado. The Fancl Collaboration Series, food that makes one beautiful on the inside and out, features daily commodities like tofu, bread and cakes spiked with the Fancl supplements such as kale, collagen, germinated brown rice and Chicory root derivatives that aid mineral absorption. Itoyakado food stores are selling the series, priced from ¥120 to ¥420.  Fancl is a well-known Japanese maker of beauty products and was one of the local forerunners of the natural, organic cosmetic movement. They also pioneered techniques such as making products in “clean rooms” so the name is associated with high quality production levels.
