Dolce & Gabbana's restoration of the 1969 'Fellini Satyricon' film celebrates the culture of on-screen Italian drama. The 1969 feature was originally directed by Federico Fellini, perhaps best known for his production of La Dolce Vita.
The brand's version of Fellini Satyricon will hit screens at New York's Film Festival. Designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana feel indebted to to the movie, claiming that "Italian cinema by Fellini, Visconti, Antonioni, Rossellini and De Sica...has given us so much; it has enabled us to dream and it has inspired our fashion..."
The remake will pay tribute to the classic performance, bringing the performance to young and foreign crowds who are largely unaware of Fellini Satyricon's history.
