Factory Five’s sweet rides were recently showcased at the 2009 SEMA show in Las Vegas, and their homegrown approach to alternative fuel supercars boasts badass, beautiful muscle.

Family-owned Factory Five Racing, who have been at the top of their game producing awe-inspiring replicas for years, have successfully taken the leap into electric engines utilizing a technology called “UQM.”

Powered by A123 lithium-ion batteries, their 1933 hot rod replica delivers a track-worthy 300 horsepower. Watch an interview with Dave Smith owner of Factory Five Racing in the video.
