Kandice McCallum, AKA Lady Bluestocking, makes facsimile reproductions and custom dust jackets for vintage books. Bibliophiles know that a good dust jacket will help protect their precious books from the ravages of sun and shelf wear. Those who love old books are all too aware that the original dust jacket is often missing. The facsimile jackets are reproductions or compilations of scanned images of the originals. The scans are retouched to repair flaws before they are printed by inkjet with archival ink and placed into a special UV resistant sleeve. (The video above shows how the sleeve works.) It’s nice to find that a facsimile replacement can be purchased to dress up books that have lost their jackets.  *A Lady Bluestocking Original Custom Creation is not a Facsimile of any dust jacket appearing on any previously published edition. It is a facsimile made by using artistic elements from dust jackets, soft covers and/or actual book covers of the 19th and early twentieth century—connected with the title in question. Like my other jackets, they are made from scans of originals in good condition, printed on one sheet of acid-free paper by an archival inkjet printer (80 yr. inks)...
