Solarized Container Light - Energy Bucket (GALLERY)

The Energy Bucket, designed by Stefano Merlo, glows by night when it’s charged under the sun by day. Much like glow-in-the-dark stickers recharge under bright lights, the Bucket would recharge through the solar panels built into the top. This would be a fantastic method of lighting the walkway to your front door without using any electricity. Candles are unreliable and dangerous in windy conditions, so this is could be a cost-effective, eco-friendly alternative.
At present, the Energy Bucket is only in its concept stage, but Merlo is working hard to bring his design to the masses. The 21 year old Italian designer sees unlimited possibility for creativity, extended his passion into graphic and web design, print, and even fashion design.
Energy Bucket is an innovative product that comes from the habit of the past to collect potable water at the well using buckets. In fact, “Energy Bucket” requires to be exposed by the user under the solar light to recharge (thanks to the solar panels on top), so that it can be carried anywhere and illuminate once night (it works with 1KW led lights housed on the plastic bucket). A honest exchange between man and nature: I do something to have something back: clean light!
