CBS has begun advertising their station and shows on eggs. More than 35 million eggs will be marked with their logo and phrases such as, “ CSI: Crack the Case on CBS”. The campaign will begin in September to promote the fall TV show line up. This will only be a portion of their advertising and is referred to as their “outernet strategy”, which involves reaching customers outside their homes while they go about their daily activities. ABC also tried this form to promote “Desperate Housewives” by using dry-cleaning bags.
