Cars are made in plants. Why not a car made from a plant?

Bamboo grows like a weed in many parts of the word; in fact, the plant will sometimes grow a foot or two in a single day. So why not make a car out of the sustainable plant? The BamGoo was shown in Kyoto, Japan recently. It weighs just 60 kilo (130 lbs) and is powered by electricity.

It is said to go 50 kilometers (about 30 miles) on a single charge. Check out some more wood, hemp and bamboo vehicles below.
