I know, you are probably thinking, Easter Eggs? Isn’t it Christmas? Well, just to prepare you for the next big commercial holiday, we can never start too early - just kidding! The inspiration for fashion and style is all around, but sometimes it must, no doubt, get a little difficult for some designers to find new sources of inspiration. Leave it to the masters at Gucci to tap into another unusual resource. These tapestry style prints, at once Bohemian with a Mediterranean folk twist, have echoes of Ukranian Easter eggs known as “Pysanka”, as you can see from the photos gathered at Trend de la Creme. The beautiful batik patterns are applied with the wax-resist method and are just lovely. Eminently wearable, without being over the top, the styles and designs would work on any age.
