This DIY Marble Manicure is a realistic take on how to achieve the look of elegant natural stone on your nails. With just three colors and a few brushstrokes, the tutorial is one that even novice nail-painters can attempt.
The stony manicure is created with a base coat of white polish, topped with light and dark gray streaks applied in a "zig-zag" motion to create the marble's distinctive veins. The look is finished off with an application of glossy clear topcoat for a realistic luster.
The simple DIY was created by fashion blogger Ivania Carpio of 'Love Aesthetics' and it is emblematic of the blogger's minimalist style and love of white. To make things even easier, Carpio recommends applying the effect to only a few nails to keep the look "subtle and not too decadent."
