The idea of DIY kids clothing sounds harmless enough. Save money, make something unique and show your kid you love them. Or, show your kid how mean other kids can be, by dressing them up in outfits that demand too much attention.

If I were in high school, I’d consider rocking the purple cardigan. But if I were in elementary school, there’s no way I’d be caught on the playground wearing a felt coat with a cut-out leaf on it.
