New Sci-Fi DLC Maps

RocketWerkz Announces 'Dangerous Horizons DLC' for Icarus Game

Dangerous Horizons is a paid DLC for Icarus from developer RocketWerkz, adding a new 8x8 km map called Elysium and featuring varied biomes and 45 alien species. The expansion was released alongside a free Kepler update, with the DLC introducing large-scale exploration elements designed to broaden the game's mid- to late-game content.

Elysium includes desert, tundra, geothermal and volcanic zones, 17 new missions, radioactive harvesting areas, soldier outposts, interactable NPCs, laser weaponry and a Hoverframe vehicle. The update also highlighted a massive world boss and new creature behaviors, plus a $30 price with a limited launch discount.

The free Kepler update added a new tech tier for oil processing—pumpjacks, refiners and byproducts like plastics—plus power tools such as chainsaws, a flame turret, tesla coil, expanded building options and extra missions. Together the DLC and update deepen crafting, base defense and vehicle play, extending player progression and supporting longer-term engagement.
