Crying Mascara shows a variety of women whose mascara have melted dramatically all over their faces – all thanks to crying. The models within the shoot display a multitude of different emotions, ranging from anger, fear and rage to loneliness. Each photograph is accompanied by a piece of handwritten cursive text that encapsulate the feelings the subjects are feeling. The texts range from "Protect Me" and "Leave Me Alone" to "I’ll Kill You." All the statements are chockablock full of raw and ugly emotions that are as real as the people in Mansoor Bhatti’s photographs. How beautiful deconstruction is!
