With the launching of the Chanel guitar, Karl Lagerfeld once again shows his determination to make the world luxe. After all, what goes better with silver ruffles than a shiny black designer guitar?

The guitar debuted at the Paris Spring 2009 show inconspicuously slung over the shoulder of one of the models strutting down the catwalk. The guitar appeared again, this time in its white-hot signature quilted Chanel case.

The guitar complete with its carrying bag and couture strap sells for about £2800.
