Connected Emergency Defibrillators

Avive Equips Rowing Events with Portable AEDs

Avive Solutions is bringing connected emergency defibrillators to the 2026 Head of the Charles Regatta, allowing medical teams to coordinate lifesaving equipment across land and water. Unlike stationary emergency devices, Avive Connect AEDs combine portability with built-in connectivity, helping responders locate equipment and monitor its availability throughout the rowing event.

The deployment includes 30 defibrillators distributed among bicycle response teams, medical boats, and five aid stations. Avive's REALConnect system provides centralized device oversight, while guided instructions and Child Mode support emergency use by trained personnel and bystanders. The equipment will serve an event expecting approximately 325,000 spectators and 11,500 competitors.

For sporting event organizers, connected AED networks offer greater visibility into emergency equipment across large venues. Avive's sponsorship also demonstrates how portable medical technology can support coordinated safety operations while showcasing its capabilities to organizations managing major public gatherings.
